Fairway Physicians Insurance Company, a Risk Retention Group (RRG), was founded to provide medical malpractice liability insurance to California doctors.

Fairway is the first RRG to combine binding arbitration with California's Medical Injury Compensation Reform Act (MICRA) as the cornerstone of its loss control program. A RRG is a liability insurance company owned by its member insureds and formed under the Liability Risk Retention Act of 1986. Membership permits a more thoroughly screened applicant and coverage programs better suited to its members. (details on RRG)
